Breast
and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (BCCSP)
The E. A. Hawse Health Centers are participating providers
of the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening
Program. Through this program can receive free or low-
cost services to those who qualify based on annual income.
Services include: Mammograms for women age 50-64. (
Medicare now pays for mammograms each year for women
age 65 and older.)
Pap tests and Pelvic exams by a doctor or nurse
Breast exams by a doctor or nurse
Colposcopy, colposcopy with biopsy, ultrasound and fine
needle aspiration when necessary. You may qualify if
you meet the following guidelines and you do not have
health insurance or your health insurance does not cover
the services:

West Virginia
Health Check ( formerly EPSDT)
Health Check preventive health services is a program
offering health care services to children who have a
Medicaid card. The program provides for regular physical
exams, immunizations, sick visits and referral for dental
care. Children aged newborn to 21 are eligible for this
service.

Children’s Health Insurance Program (WV CHIPs)
E. A. Hawse Health Centers are participating providers
of the West Virginia Children’s Health Insurance Program,
a statewide program designed to help, children under
age 19, of working families get the medical care they
need to grow into strong, healthy adults. WV CHIP, through
participating providers, covers a full range of health
care services including Doctors office visits, Check-ups,
Immunizations, Prescription, Vision Services, Dental
Services, Mental Health Services and Hospitalization.

Co-pays are
based on income. Some families will pay low cost co-pays
for certain services. No co-pays are charged for dental,
vision, or preventative care.

Family
Planning Program
The Hawse Health Centers offer Family Planning services
as a component of comprehensive reproductive health
care for women, men and adolescents. These services
are confidential and include pregnancy testing, physical
exams, contraceptives, sexually transmitted disease
testing and treatment, individual health education and
counseling and referral for identified medical problems.
Women, men and adolescents of reproductive age are eligible.
Family Planning Program services are offered free of
charge or on a sliding fee scale. No one is denied services
because of inability to pay.
